Our Work in the USA
VillageReach first brought its global expertise to the United States in 2020, supporting public health system responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. Drawing on decades of experience working with governments on supply chains, data systems and community-centered delivery in low-resource settings, VillageReach partnered with Washington State and several counties to accelerate vaccine delivery, generate demand, and build digital tools and data platforms to drive equitable COVID-19 vaccination across rural and urban communities.
VillageReach has since expanded our partnerships and services to over twenty counties across several states. We work with a growing network of local and state agencies, and community organizations, to strengthen public health and social services, integrate community insights and deliver the outcomes that matter most to their communities.

Whether in Africa or North America, we’re committed to building strong relationships with communities to improve outcomes for all. Sustained collaborations enable us to understand health users’ needs and preferences, and to work together to create lasting change. In Jefferson County Public Health (JCPH) department, Washington State, we focused on co-creating new paths to health care and immunization access for food-insecure families with school-aged children. We prioritized two key principles: building trust through participatory research and fostering collaboration to identify local solutions. By working with local communities, JCPH and VillageReach identified and addressed critical barriers to immunization and health care access.

Leveraging decades of global health experience, VillageReach formalizes technical assistance to U.S. health departments through the Pacific Northwest Health Equity Initiative. Beginning with mass vaccination site support in King County, we offer strategic partnerships with rural health departments. Applying global lessons, we strengthen public health delivery through workforce development, supply chain insights and community-led approaches—proving that innovations shaped abroad can drive equity-focused, locally responsive health systems in the United States.
