The VillageReach
model is designed to strengthen health systems in developing
countries.
There are two interconnected parts: a program addressing the health
system in the last mile and a social enterprise that responds to unmet
needs of the MoH and underserved communities.
The health
program improves the management, reliability, and quality of the
public health system through supply management and supportive
supervision activities. Its goal is to make systemic changes that the
Ministry of Health can maintain beyond our involvement.
The social
enterprise may involve transportation, energy, communications, or
other services needed by the MoH and underserved communities. The
social enterprise will fill one or more gaps in the health system’s
wide range of needs as well as contribute to rural economic
development.
The VillageReach
business model offers an integrated portfolio of solutions that
empowers
governments and
local partners to extend the reach of
public health systems,
and improve economic conditions and quality of
life.
