After five years of program operations in Mozambique, and as we begin work in Malawi, we are expanding our staff to ensure that we best meet our strategic goals for expansion and replication of our model.  We are seeking a President to lead the organization into its next phase of growth.

Craig Nakagawa, our Acting President, will transition into a role that leverages his business acumen and experience to establish social ventures that support our health programs. Craig has been with VillageReach since 2001, and filled various leadership roles on our path to continued success. With our plans for growth, the board and staff agree that additional team members will be critical to our future accomplishments. These transitions will allow us to build on our success, expand our capacity, and work to the strength of existing staff members.

As we expand into Malawi, VillageReach will implement three sustainable programs: a plan designed to help the country's Ministry of Health and Central Medical Stores provide reliable logistics and transport of medicines; a community-based program providing interventions to improve maternal and child health; and a social venture that supports the health program and meets community infrastructure needs.

In Mozambique, VillageReach continues to provide technical assistance to our local partners, FDC and the Ministry of Health, as they implement the VillageReach model in 251 clinics.  An evaluation of the program is slated for late 2008.

The hiring process will begin in late January; click here for details.
