VillageReach Health Kits help deliver health care the "last mile"

The amounts listed below represent specific interventions VillageReach can provide to health clinics in developing countries.  Every gift is seen as a contribution to the entire mission of VillageReach.  Donations will be used where needed most to help increase community access to health care and other essential services in developing countries.

Health Kit #1: Reliable Delivery                                              Before VillageReach began service in Cabo Delgado, remote clinics were forced to seek out supplies on their own.  A donation of just $30 can provide a health clinic with safe and timely delivery of one month's worth of vaccines and other medical supplies, ensuring that patients are never turned away because the vaccine they need is unavailable.

                                                                        Suggested gift: $30

Health Kit #2: A Traveling Clinic                                                  For many families, the walk to the nearest health care facility is just too far.  A donation of $60 can provide a bicycle that will allow clinic staff to travel to remote villages to provide desperately needed vaccinations and other medical care.

Suggested gift: $60

Health Kit #3: A Light in the Dark                                                    Without electricity, many health clinics are unable to generate enough light to handle nighttime medical emergencies, such as childbirth.  A donation of $100 can provide a clinic with two bright and reliable LPG-powered lamps, helping to save lives day and night.

Suggested gift: $100

Health Kit #4: Worry-Free Injections                                            Sterilizing medical equipment is critical to prevent the spread of diseases such as HIV/AIDS.  Yet, in many clinics, this process puts both health workers' and the environment at risk, using open fires that consume precious wood and increase the risk of respiratory ailments. A donation of $160 can provide a clinic with a clean-burning LPG-powered sterilization system, protecting workers, the environment, and the lives of clinic patients.

Suggested gift: $160

Health Kit #5: A Safe Place                                                          Up to 40% of hospital visits in the developing world result in new infections due to the improper disposal of contaminated rags, gloves, disposable syringes or other equipment.  A donation of $680 can provide a clinic with a medical waste disposal system, preventing the spread of infections, including AIDS, and ensuring that a clinic is a safe place for all who use it.

Suggested gift: $680

Health Kit #6: The Critical Chain                                                     Vaccines and other medicines can become useless if they leave the temperature range of 2°C-8°C (35.6°F-46.4°F). VillageReach makes sure that these medicines remain cold from the time they leave the warehouse to the time they are administered to a mother or child.  A donation of $2,700 can provide a clinic with a reliable LPG-Powered Refrigerator, ensuring that vaccines remain safe and effective once they reach the last mile.

Suggested gift: $2,700

Health Kit #7: The Equipped Clinic                                                      Adopt a clinic!  A donation of $3,700 can completely outfit a clinic with all of the equipment needed to perform safe injections, nighttime procedures, community outreach, proper waste disposal and proper storage of temperature-sensitive medicines.

           Suggested gift: $3,700

Health Kit #8: The Last Mile                                                                        A donation of any amount supports all of our activities, ensuring that quality health care always reaches the last mile.

Suggested gift: Any amount helps!
