Leah Barrett is a Program Officer for VillageReach. Leah’s area of expertise is in international
development management. Her B.A. is from Michigan State University where she
majored in French and International Business and minored in German. She
spent four years as a consultant with American Management Systems, including
a year working at the U.S. Embassy in Paris. Leah then transitioned from
business to development and has worked with CARE, Facing the Future, and the
International Rescue Committee. She also holds a certificate from the
University of Michigan in International Population and Reproductive Health.
Leah came to VillageReach through a partnership
with the UW in 2005 following summer fieldwork in Mozambique sponsored by
the UW’s Interdisciplinary Program in Humanitarian Relief. She recently
completed a concurrent M.P.A. and M.A. in International Studies with a
certificate in International Relief and Development. During her graduate
studies, she focused on management of international health programs.
