Joao Rodrigues manages daily operations of VidaGas, which is a LPG distribution joint venture between VillageReach and its local partner FDC. He is responsible for introducing LPG into local communities, providing LPG-based energy solutions to businesses, and ensuring the availability of LPG to the Ministry of Health. Although Joao manages VidaGas as a commercial venture, he also provides critical support to VillageReach’s health and community development mission, such as providing modern energy services to rural clinics and to underserved rural communities. Joao has a background in civil engineering, public administration, and finance. His previous experience includes over 15 years of socio-economic development work in Northern Mozambique. For the six years prior to joining VillageReach, Joao served as an Administrator for the Nampula Province Low-Cost Sanitation Program. He is fluent in both Portuguese and English. |
