Erik has
industrial experience in the production and consultancy areas as an engineer
in the private and in the public sector in Mozambique. He is also currently
active in the academic field as a lecturer and invited lecturer in
Mozambique’s only public university-Universidade Eduardo Mondlane’s
faculties of
architecture,
anthropology and
engineering as well as at the
mechanical engineering department at the University of Cape Town in South
Africa.
Erik
is the Director of
the endowment and investments department at the Foundation for Community
Development (FDC),
VillageReach's strategic partner
in
Mozambique.
His
main responsibilities
include
growing the foundation's
endowment, running
its investments and
establishing FDC's Development and Resource Mobilization Unit.
Erik serves as FDC's
Partner Representative to VillageReach.
He is also the
Executive Director of VidaGas, Lda.
Erik
holds a
degree in
electro-mechanical
engineering, and is on a leave of
absence from his readings for a
master of science in
mechanical engineering
at the University of Cape Town.
He
is an avid
Rotarian and,
at the age of 29,
served as one of the youngest ever Rotary club presidents in the world.
