REBECCA WALTON
Rebecca Walton is the Information Systems Project Manager at VillageReach. She has a Masters degree in Technical Writing from the University of North Texas and is currently earning a PhD in Technical Communication at the University of Washington, where her research focuses on information and communication systems of international nonprofit organizations. She is also earning a Global Trade and Transportation Logistics certificate to support her work.
Rebecca’s recent experience includes working in Kyrgyzstan for Mercy Corps, where she researched user needs and designed a management information system (MIS) used by a microfinance program serving more than 31,000 people. Before beginning her PhD, Rebecca managed the technical writing team at an R&D and manufacturing company. Her other experience includes writing and editing in a variety of fields, including print journalism, marketing, publishing, multimedia development, and nonprofit fundraising.
